Shielded-balance vault for Solana

Hold a balance
nobody can trace back.

Umbra lets you deposit into a shielded note, hold a private balance, and withdraw later — reducing the on-chain link between where funds came from and where they go. Your keys stay yours.

Early software on  devnet  — mainnet operations are not enabled yet.

// how it works

Four stages, one shielded vault.

You stay in control of your keys the whole way. Umbra moves value through a shielded note so the balance you hold and spend isn't trivially tied to the wallet you funded from. It reduces linkability — it does not make you anonymous.

// security & trust

Non-custodial by design. Honest about the rest.

You hold your keys

Umbra never takes custody of your funds or private keys. Every deposit and withdrawal is a transaction you sign in your own wallet.

Logic on-chain

The vault and commitment logic belongs in an auditable Solana program — not hidden in this website. The frontend only prepares transactions and reads public state.

Devnet first

We test on devnet before anything touches mainnet. When mainnet operations are enabled, it will be stated plainly here — not quietly switched on.

Known limitations — please read

    // activity explorer

    A vault you can watch, not snoop on.

    Sample data · devnet preview

    The explorer shows that the vault is active — timing and settlement status — without exposing who holds what. The rows below are illustrative sample data, not real user activity. A live devnet explorer is coming soon.

    TimeActionConfirmationNote

    Balances, addresses, and note contents are intentionally never shown here. Umbra's interface does not publish private notes, shielded balances, or proof metadata.

    // protocol transparency

    Privacy you can verify.

    Privacy tools earn trust by being open about what they are — and honest about what isn't ready yet. Here's exactly where Umbra stands today. If it isn't live, it says so.

    // technology stack

    Built on a modern, modular foundation.

    The interface is a typed React app; the privacy protocol sits behind a modular adapter so the cryptographic layer can evolve independently of the UI. The frontend never invents cryptography — it talks to the on-chain program through the adapter.

    // the goal

    A balance that's private,
    a vault that's yours.

    Umbra aims to be a quiet shielded vault under your Solana activity — effective, verifiable, and upfront about its limits. No overpromises. No fake numbers.
